Furlough 2019 - Resources

Here are some resources that may be of benefit to our members at home:

Furlough Package (from 1/22/18.  We assume most of this info remains unchanged.):

Some reminders and information:

  • Be aware of timelines for initiating Unemployment claims.  The Q&A's clearly state you must refund any payments if/when back-pay is authorized for the furlough.  Take responsibility to understand when and how to apply for UI, should you choose to do so.

  • If you use payroll allotments, please keep in mind the impact of delayed pay concerning those secondary bank accounts and any automatic payments/"bill pay" that are connected to that allotment.

  • KASCOE has been advised that vacancy announcement deadlines for jobs advertised in USAJobs should be extended once we return to work.

Feel free to email your questions to membership@kascoe.com, or simply reply to this message.  KASCOE Leadership is committed to supporting our membership through this shutdown period.  We will do our best to help answer questions or get you connected to the resources you need.  Keep check on our Furlough 2019 News Page at KASCOE.com for more updates.

Joyce Logsdon Presented the Spirit of RASCOE Award at 2018 National Convention

RASCOE held the 1st portion of their business meeting on Thursday, August 2nd and during this meeting our very own Joyce Logsdon was presented the Spirit of RASCOE award by Lynda Steichen, SD, former Sec/Treas of RASCOE.

Joyce is well deserving of this award.  She does so much for our Kentucky retiree association (FanKASCOE) and the membership. In addition to her time volunteering to work for FanKASCOE, Joyce is also active supporting her church, family and community.

We cannot thank Joyce enough for her dedication and for all she does for the association.

Joyce, thank you so much!!!!!

Jeanie Williams
Vice President FanKASCOE

NASCOE PAC

Hello KASCOE Members,

Do you care about your job and benefits? If so, please read this entire letter. I am contacting you about the NASCOE PAC because I know just how important this tool is for us as FSA employees. Please take a look at the links included in this letter and strongly consider joining me in supporting our future. There is a slideshow on the PAC website that explains more about what it is. Click on the brochure for answers to frequently asked questions. The website also has additional questions and answers at the bottom. If you signup to contribute or increase your contribution by at least $3 per pay period then you will get a cool stainless steel PAC mug that you can use proudly.

Kentucky needs to be a leader in PAC participation! We constantly face attacks on our benefits and on our agency, which could lead to a loss of jobs and the relocation of employees, if we do not put up a strong fight. If we don’t fight for our offices and our employees, our farmers will ultimately be impacted and pay a price as well.

Please join and show your support for our jobs and our farmers by joining NASCOE’s PAC today. Just complete the enrollment form or increase form and email it back to me and someone will give you a call to help you get your contribution started.

You can find information as well as the slideshow by going to NASCOE.org and clicking on NASCOE PAC under the legislative tab or follow the links in this letter.

Sincerely,

Kay Barton
KASCOE President
